In steps my wife Taria (the hottie to the left over there). Now, she herself is a self-trained computer geek (as well as a professional photographer - www.TariaReed.com), and within a matter of minutes she went "into the Matrix" and fixed my site and got it up & running just like it looked before the "glitch." I thanked her ... but since we do joke around a lot, I don't think she caught the "gratitude" that she was looking for ... TOUGH!
No ... seriously ... when she applies herself to a task, she never disappoints and always comes through - and I truly am lucky to have this woman in my life!
So THANK YOU, baby!
NOW ... Before you fellas out there start trying to clown me, remember in a previous post I just got through stating that I wanted to start incorporating some Obama-like qualities into my own "steelo," and Barack definitely lets Michelle know her value and importance in his life as his wife, the mother of his daughters, and most importantly ... his friend.
2008 has been, and in some ways, continues to be a difficult year for us and a lot of other families out there - but I had to come to a particular realization not too long ago, and that realization was that in order for my family to best survive our most turbulent times thus far, despite how dedicated a husband and father I am, I had to become a better friend to my wife, and that is what I made an active effort to become.
Abraham Lincoln once said, "You can fool some of the people all of the time; and you can fool all of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time." To that I would add ... you might be able to fool anyone at any given point in time, but at no time will you EVER be able to fool God! You see, you can SAY you want to make changes in your life, but until you take honest action towards that change, God knows you're BS'ing. He'll even let you BS yourself - but ain't no way you're going to BS him!
When I made a sincere and DIRECT change in my demeanor, God made some sincere and direct changes in my life! After having a couple of bad weeks in a row at work, this past week has been GREAT! Two days ago, a person I had JUST met asked to buy a copy of my book "FIND A WAY to MAKE A WAY!" and when I came home from work that same day, I had EIGHT purchase requests for my book!!
(For YOUR "autographed" copy send an e-mail to HRJR@HRJR-Enterprises.com)
I give credit where it's due, and you should get in the habit of doing it too! I am who and what I am - not just because of the work I put into myself, but also primarily because of my faith in God and the people I surround myself with. The most wealthiest and successful people in the world are not the most smartest in the world. They are the ones who have the most powerful networks and resources around them!
When you shine ... chances are you really didn't get there all by yourself! Share the shine with your team, and your team will want you to shine even more because when YOU shine, everyone shines!
