Belief Based on a Bitch Move!

As I become more and more socially aware, I find myself becoming ever so disgusted by a trend that exists in every venue of newscating and every venue worthy of being considered news.

How many times have you read a news article or heard a news report wherein which the facts were not substantiated by a photograh; not substantiated by a video clip; not substantiated by a direct quote, but substantiated by someone who is speaking "on condition of anonymity."

Do you understand what this means? This means that someone is divulging information, but does not have the heart to stand by what he or she saying. This happens when someone says, "I'm going to tell you everything you want to know ... just don't tell anyone I told you."

This is what I call a "bitch move." There's no honor in it. There's no trust in it. How messed up is it for you to have someone in your camp who's putting all your business out there while smiling in your face? How can people take seriously someone who does not stand by their word? How can people trust information that cannot be pinned down? If you're accused of something, shouldn't you be allowed to know who your accuser is?

I don't put much stock in information that comes this way, and even when information that is disseminated in this fashion eventually pans out to be true, I am just that much more disgusted.

The bottom line is that today we live in the information age, and in the information age, INFORMATION IS POWER. Be very careful who you allow to possess or become privy to your information. If not, you could very well one day find yourself behind the eight ball because someone decided to put you out on front street ... on condition of anonymity!
