Since Election Day there have been reports of racist acts of vandalism and even assaults in different areas of the country.
Understand this ... while many of you are watching newsclips and YouTube videos, I'm "on the job" in a predominately white suburban township ... ONE OF ONLY FIVE black cops out of nearly 250 cops.
JUST YESTERDAY I was sent on a job where someone reported a noose hanging from someone's tree in front of his house. When I got there, what I found was a rope hanging from a tree with a tied loop at the bottom. Real talk ... when I first saw it, I didn't think about a "card carrying Klansman." I thought about how I would have spent hours swinging back & forth with one foot in the loop. When I rang that man's doorbell that's exactly what he told me his kid had been doing for the past 3-4 months - and I had to "advise" him to take it down because it offended his neighbors.
Trust and believe ... out of those five brothers on my job, the powers that be KNOW that - out of the five of us ... I AM NOT THE "SAFE NEGRO."
Two are detectives. Between them one is truly "safe" - not a sell-out, but not one to rock the boat. The other one is THE MOST educated person in the entire department, having achieved his Masters Degree and is currently working on his Doctorate (THIS BROTHER is TRULY pimping the game because he's got over 20 years of military service and served TWO TOURS in Iraq. That gave him the opportunity to parlay military time over cop time; which after a minor financial sacrifice, allows him to retire from Law Enforcement early. When he does retire from the Army and the P.D., he will have pensions from BOTH {paychecks for life}, and his studies have been in education - in which he holds an administrative position in another city's school system. Dude is only like 40-41 years old). Out of the other two cops, one does real estate on the side (Masonic Law binds me to say nothing more about him), and the other brother just comes to work and goes home.
And then there is me.
Sorry ... NO ... "I apologize" - I went on a tangent. I said all of that to say this ...
FUCK THE RACISTS.
They are not new to the scene. They have ALWAYS been there. The only thing is that the SCENE itself has changed. There are white people out there who are just "GOOD PEOPLE," and others who just can' stand the fact that ... THESE UPPITY NIGGERS DONE COME UP AND ARE DESTROYING THE COUNTRY THEY HAVE COME TO KNOW AND LOVE.
(THAT's RIGHT - I SAID IT!!)
As for the "good white folk," hey ... the best man at my wedding is an Italian dude who I've known since high school who I can honestly say would be there for me above and beyond most "brothers" I know. You see ... it's just pure friendship that binds us (although I have had to give dude a cultural chin-check from time to time).
In short, my attitue about the racists that exist out there is short and simple.
FUCK `EM ... FUCK THE RACISTS.
Look here ... be cautious of all of this nonsense, but understand this ... If ANYTHING happens to President Obama ANYWHERE on this planet, I strongly predict that the ensuing riots that will pop off will make the riots that occurred after BOTH Martin Luther King Jr.'s assassination AND the Rodney King verdict COMBINED look like the mere lighting of a cigarette.
Let's go about the business of improving ourselves and our country, and leave our new president to do his job.
Trust me ... as much `isht as many of these white supremacists talk about wanting to spark off a race war ... this is NOT how they want to go about doing it.
