Last night I watched the President's address at the Military Academy at West Point. I watched it on Fox News. Immediately after the address I watched Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly do what they do every night ... spout their usual drivel about how bad a job the president is doing. I don't have a problem with an opposing point of view, but these clowns spew their venom hiding behind the politically correct disguise of it being impolite to call a racist a racist. But even calling them and just about everyone with their own show on that network a racist is just taking the easy way out.
No ... there's something else that scares me. These people are imperialistsitc war mongers. Glenn Beck, Ann Coulter, O'Reilly, Hannity, Limbaugh ... the whole lot of them. They represent all that is wrong with America. These are the poster-children for white supremacy. These people want to go to war and stay at war.
What bothers me the most is that they're now calling this "Obama's War," as if HE started this thing. Hannity & O'Reilly love talking about how G. Dubya's last surge of troops in Iraq "worked." Okay ... it quelled a lot of the insurgent confrontations, but it amazes me how they conveniently forget that the war with Iraq was started on the basis of lies. Even more amazing is how whenever Hannity or O'Reilly "appear" to be "fair & balanced" by having a Democrat or pro-Obama person on who brings that point up gets talked over, or they all of a sudden run out of time and have to go to commercial.
Personally, I don't care for all of this talk about troop deployments. I do not believe that we here at home need to know where our servicemen & women are going to be deployed. I saw a newscast this morning where the person reporting was standing in front of this virtual map of Afghanistan that had flags representing where it was expected for troops - both American & allied forces - would be deployed.
This is stupid. No ... this is dangerous. Who came up with the idea of giving speeches outlining troop deployments and strategic operational time frames? I'd like to know so I can call him or her a jackass to his or her face. I don't see our enemies divulging the same kind of information. This is ridiculous.
Personally, I wish the president would show some backbone and put some of these people in their place. I am growing increasingly frustrated with this "safe negro" role he's playing. As much as I hated G. Dubya, I did respect the way people moved when he said move. There may have been some hemming & hawing, but at the end of the day things got done. Hell ... Under the watch of G. Dubya, America went to war with Iraq jsut so he could make his daddy proud & get Saddam Hussein.
I suspect that there are powers in play that are setting President Obama up for a hit. All of this disrespect, and the lapses in security should not be taken lightly. Of course President Obama has better & more important things to do than address O'Reilly, Hannity, etc. directly, but these clowns are rallying and regrouping for 2012.
The one thing I know for sure about white America is this ... They can make reality out of the most ridiculous nonsense ever to come out of a human mind. President Obama can keep playing it "politcally safe" if he wants to ... He's going to mess around and find himself showing Sarah Palin where everything is in three years.
