America ... Your Skirt is Getting Pulled Up!

How do you tell your kid to deal with a bully? You tell him or her to stand up to a bully. The reason is because most bullies are only acting out to disguise their own insecurities. Basically they use their size or perhaps even their wit to belittle, demean & intimidate people who "appear" to be weaker than them. They do this so people won't pay attention to, or even see their foibles or insecurities because they're too busy defending themselves from the bullying.

For far too long the United States has extended its reach ... or perhaps said better ... stuck its nose in the business of other nations. After getting past all of the bullshit political correctness and rhetoric, in the eyes of the global community, the United States is viewed as being nothing more than the bully on the playground, and there are kids in the playground who are standing up & fighting back.

Personally, I believe that everyone should live their lives in such a way where there is an accordance between their spirit & the laws of their land. Unfortunately, and for whatever reasons, not every land has the same laws. The United States believes that its way of life is the end all/be all and everyone should live as we do. While I enjoy and appreciate my freedom, I do not believe it appropriate to impose my will on those I deem weaker than me.

Now let me get to the point of this post. America is walking tough and talking tough all over the playground we call earth. If you watch Fox News, or listen to people like Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck, you clearly see that there are Americans who believe that this is the most perfect patch of land on the planet and despite its bloody history, America has nothing to apologize for. This is what I call the "ignorance of arrogance." In 2001, the United States experienced the worst act of terrorism in its entire history. Thousands of people were killed, and as a result of the two wars that followed, thousands more have gone to their graves.

And now the trials for those believed to be responsible have begun, and all of those pundits and politicians who have been talking all kinds of tough are now talking some straight punk sh%t. I mean look at it like this, when it comes to getting wet in somebody else's country, these tough talkers want to drop bombs from now until the Rapture, but they're sh%tting all kinds of bricks about having the trials in New York. Here's the bullsh%t though ... the politicians want this to be tried in a military tribunal as opposed to criminal court.

My concern is this ... How can an atrosity such as 9/11 legally be considered an act of war when it was not committed by another sovereign nation? It was an act of mass murder committed by civilian religious zealots. It was a criminal act of grand proportions but a criminal act none the less, and that is why the case is being tried in criminal court.

What's sad is that the main threat to this country is the fact that it suffers from the "arrogance of it's ignorance." The belief that this country is so great that it is above reproach and feels no need to apologize for its conduct on this planet. The bully is being stood up to, and had beter start to get his act together, or else there really will be another 9/11 ... or worse ... an act of war declared against the United States by some other foreign nation.
