Too Much Too DAMN Soon!

There would have been no blockbuster hit "Independence Day" if it were not for this little mini-series called "V." At first there was the original 1983 2 part mini-series. The story was so hot that the next year they did a 3 part sequel. AND THEN AS IF THAT WASN'T ENOUGH ... that turned into a full series from 1984 to 1985.

Nearly 25 years later ... The quality of special effects has grown by leaps and bounds and someone in Hollywood decided to bring this "classic" back for this generation to enjoy.

While I very much liked the pilot episode, the problem I have with this series - as with a great deal of today's programming, is that there's too much given away too soon.

The reason why I fear this "reimagining" won't last is because these writers & producers are busting their nuts way too soon.

Exposing "the V's" as...... reptilians with ulterior motives, and an already assembled "resistance" in the very 1st episode was a BAD move.

Whatever happened to building the story? DAMN here we already knew what the aliens were about, but damn ... couldn't ya tease me?

I'd be pleasantly surprised if this show lasts longer than Knight Rider.
