Definition of an Entrepreneur

Yesterday a young woman who had been told I wrote a book, told me she wanted to read my book, Find A Way to Make A Way! I said to her, "That's good because I would very much like to sell it to you." She then asked me what the book was about. I did not have a lot of time on my hands at that moment. So, I gave her one of my business cards, wrote my website address on the back and said "If you take a view of my site it should answer a lot of your questions, and if you still have more questions there's a link that allows you to e-mail me." She then said, "Well - is your book selling? How much money have you made?" At that point, I realized that she was more interested in finding out how much money I was making for selling my book than she was in actually reading it and learning how to make money for herself.

Now first of all, my book is not so much about learning how to make money as it is about learning how to go about finding what already exists within you and utilizing those qualities to create success for yourself.

I am not successful because my book is selling well. I am successful because I put in the work necessary to create something where there was nothing and someone else found the value in it to pay the price I demanded. THAT ... is success. It takes courage to stand up and put your all into something and submit it to the world, and it takes a great deal of courage to have the audacity to put a price tag on it!

I am an entrepreneur. Entrepreneurs know the difference between earning money and making money. Most people don't know the difference between the two and that is why 90% of the world's wealth is owned and controlled by 10% of the worlds population.

The difference between earning money and making money is simple. When you got to your 9 to 5 and punch that clock you are earning money; however, when you create something where there is nothing, put a a price of your own making on it - and then someone comes along and pays that price, well then you have made money! Additionally, earned money is taxed first and hardest. Made money gets taxed last and least. That is how America becomes the land of opportunity for us. When you just work for someone else to give you their money as compensation, then the government will come swooping down upon your paycheck. However, Uncle Sam - gangster that he is - has some respect for those of us who are daring enough to go out and stake their own claim.

I'm on my way to the top ...
WHO'S COMING WITH ME?!
