The 10 "Hidden Realities" Behind Election 2008

See ... Okay ... NOW I'M PI$$ED!!

I'm sitting here watching the Fox News Channel, and I am watching "their" plan flow and fall right into place.

After months of positioning Sen. Obama to "denounce ... reject ... condemn ... and distance" himself from everyone "they" found offensive, NOW ... (on Hannity & Combs) "they're" condemning Sen. Obama for doing just that.

So basically, here's how it translates:

1. We want you to make us believe you're not a threat to us by separating yourself from anyone who we believe to be a threat to us.

2. But ... if you separate yourself from those people who support you, because they threaten us, how do we know you won't eventually separate yourself from us?

3. Hey ... if WE use the race card that's okay ... it's what we do (as long as you don't catch us doing it), but YOU can't do that ... you can't do it before us or against us.

4. You are NOT allowed to change your mind. We don't care how factors may change your views. You are not allowed to change course ... even if we're headed towards the edge of the abyss ... even if we fall into it!

5. "You need to take a couple of weeks off and get back in touch with reality." (This was ACTUALLY said by Newt Gingrich TONIGHT!) Sub-translation: We're tired of seeing you on our TV screens every damn night (which Newt ALSO said).

6. Who the hell do you think you are going overseas and telling people you're a "citizen of the world?" Look ... we know the world is watching - we just don't care! Get back here and stop trying to get "other people of color" to like you ... we're threatened enough by you!

7. If there is anyone you grew up admiring who at one point hated us because of what we've done historically - even if they've changed their point of view ... we're going to hold it against you (see #4).

8. We really don't care how honest you were in your books, we're still going to dig up what we want, spin it how we want, and feed it to "our" people in the flavor that will best make them fear you. Why? Because we can ... it's what we do!

9. Sometimes, you actually do give us a scare that you can win this thing. You really did give Hillary a spanking unlike Bill ever could ... but then again, at no point were we ever either impressed or intimidated by her. Really ... Remember how we made those eight years a living hell for them?

10. Ultimately ... even though we're enjoying watching you prance around on T.V. building up everyone's hopes for change, in the end ... we're going to lie, cheat, steal and change the rules as we see fit - just like we've always done.

Haven't you learned anything from the past 8 years?
Haven't you learned anything from the history of this country that we can't stand to face ourselves?

Before I go on, let me make one thing perfectly (and bluntly) clear:

There are people to whom these blogs apply and there are those to whom they don't apply.

If you find yourself seeing and resenting the truth as is seen by people unlike you, then these blogs just might apply to you, and if you're offended ... I really don't care.

We, as a species, need to overcome all of our self-righteous sense of homo-superiority and the overall hypocrisy that is derived therefrom.

There is no one more superior than the Almighty Creator - the Grand Architect of the Universe ... and it does not matter if you call Him "'Her,' God, Allah, Yahweh, Jah, Jehova, Jesus" or "Krishna."

I believe there is greatness in everyone, But I do not allow that belief to blind me to the reality that there is also darkness in everyone ... EVERYONE.

People like Ghandi, Mother Theresa, and Martin Luther King, Jr. were all human, and if you think there were not times that they didn't get P.O.'d over the trials they had to overcome to become the icons they became, then you are delusional! If you think for one minute that Nelson Mandela spent any one of those 27 years in prison in a perpetual good mood, then you're on crack.

What made those people great was how they used the greatness within them to overshadow the darkness within. They faced their dark sides, and overcame in spite of them.
